Dave's Helps for
Cisco© Certification

I have recently retired from the IT field.  However, if you can find anything of help or interest on this site, you are welcome to browse around!

While I never had a chance to take the new CCNA exam (640-801), but I do have some info for the new exam at Dave's Study Tips for the CCNA 640-801 Exam.  The new exam includes new topics (some of which were previously covered in CCNP exams).  In the meantime, you can still glean a lot of information from Dave's Study Tips for the CCNA 640-607 Exam

There are different paths to study for the CCNA.  In the instructor-led environment, the path you choose depends upon your IT background.  If you have networking experience, then I would recommend the ICND course, which is taught nation-wide by Ascolta.  If you have little or no experience, then you might want to find a Cisco Networking Academy near you.

SemSim provides training for Cisco certification exams through exam and router simulation. Their site includes free learning center for cisco exams CCNA, CCDA, CCNP.

NEW!  TCP Mag has just published an article entitled "My Top 10 Study Tips for Cisco's 640-607 CCNA Exam."

For funny, but helpful celebrity lectures on routers, check out routergod.com!

Of course, you'll want to check out Cisco's official CCNA page.

Visit CCPrep.com, an on-line internetworking community, which services include CCNA exam prep.

Examnotes.net has a lot of good study materials, including some great Cisco router configuration information.

Visit the Cisco Career Certifications site for more information.

Thanks!
