The Future Belongs to Mannatech
By Eugene Fox

On May 7, 1999 Mannatech, Inc. made a major announcement. They had formed a subsidiary called Internet Health Group, Inc. It will utilize internet capabilities to do online selling of Mannatech’s nutritional supplements along with other daily-use supplements developed especially for the new company, as well as supplements for sports nutrition. This will provide online customers with a unique, balanced product mix. The site will also offer important information concerning dietary supplements, component ingredients, and health benefits. This will give internet consumers what they need to make educated product purchases in a much more convenient environment than traditional shopping.

The "other daily-use supplements" will be a wide range of generic nutritional products of proven efficacy - like ginko biloba, echinacea, lecithin and St. John's Wort. This is a huge market, and the website will position Mannatech to become a major player. Pricing promises to be a key factor. Ray Gebauer, one of Mannatech’s top associates, says these products will be priced at half or less their regular cost. This will attract many to the site.

This is expected to do great things for Mannatech associates. The website will be dominant - likely the largest in the world offering nutritional supplements. As a result, it is expected to be a mine of new leads - with the permission of the customers. Revenues from the site will be used to support associate-implemented marketing initiatives and incentives.

The site is expected to be operational by the end of ‘99, but perhaps as early as the Fall.

Not only are associates expected to benefit in great ways, with thousands of new associates coming into our downlines, but it will also further distinguish Mannatech from all other supplement companies. Now is the time to get prepared. Have as many associates as possible ready to do business on the Internet. This will be home-based business beyond anything most of us could have ever imagined. It’s the wave of the future - the wave that’s breaking now.

Mannatech’s latest move is very much in step with the times. Nutraceuticals are in the news almost every day, and there is enormous interest in internet business. Eva Janssen wrote in The London Free Press on May 13/99: "The (internet) opportunities are limitless. At least one research group projects almost $350 billion US in electronic commerce among businesses by 2002. Companies (presently) earning profits from e-business include Cisco Systems, Northern Telecom, Sun Microsystems, Microsoft, Charles Schwab, Dell Computer and Federal Express."

In the same issue of that newspaper, widely respected syndicated economist Garth Turner stated:

• Half of all Canadians are now connected to the Internet. That represents a year-over-year gain of 35 per cent. At this rate, about 90 per cent of people will be on the Web within five years.

• This unprecedented growth will be fueled by the collapse in computer prices, which are now in a free fall of about two per cent a month. One Ontario firm is planning on offering a Net-enabled PC within a year for $99.

• Internet use is catching on just as fast as television did in the 1950s and even faster than radio in the 1930s. The pace of its growth is far quicker than it was for the telephone.

• There is a strong convergence taking place between the Net and traditional channels of communication, such as television and radio. For examples, thousands of people now watch my weekly television news magazine live on the Internet, and I have seen the number of ‘hits’ on my own Web site grow from a few hundred a day two years ago to between 8,000 and 10,000 every 24 hours.

There is another powerful convergence taking place and it’s working very much in our favor. First, half or more of North Americans are using alternatives to drugs, with more switching all the time. And as we’ve seen, the Internet is becoming dominant in the marketplace. In launching this online business Mannatech is taking bold advantage of both trends, and it promises to add greatly to Mannatech’s record of success. A huge additional factor (and a story all by itself1) is the rapid progress Mannatech products are making toward becoming Standard of Care with the medical profession. Watch out when that happens!

Drug companies see this and are doing everything they can to get in on it.2 They know what medical authorities are saying - that nutraceuticals will be the next major health breakthrough. They’re getting ready.3 Fortunately, Mannatech is the clear leader and is setting the pace, thanks to the pioneering work of our Dr. Bill McAnalley and Dr. Reg McDaniel. They developed Mannatech’s patented Ambrotose, the mother of all nutraceuticals.

Then there’s Mannatech’s global expansion. Along with doing good business in the United States and Canada, the Company is also doing well in Australia. As of April ‘99, Mannatech Ltd. has been formed in the United Kingdom, ready for the startup there later this year. Japan will be next, with many other countries to follow. It’s exciting that any Mannatech associate can do business anywhere the Company operates - through the Internet or doing business there personally.

This leaves a person two choices - get in on all of this, or just watch it all happen. If you live in Canada, the United States or Australia, you can get going right away. If you are in Britain, Japan, or some other country, you have to wait a while longer, but not very long. But you don’t have to just wait. You can get yourself and others ready. Then when Mannatech opens up, you can hit the road running.

How can you prepare? Well, there’s plenty to learn. And as well, Mannatech has an online resource -metabolic profiling - that can significantly - even dramatically - impact every person’s health without ever using supplements.4

Let me show you further how all this can benefit you and your friends, or contact the person who gave you this. The future belongs to Mannatech. Make that future yours. Don’t let it pass you by.
