Johnny's Brief Networking Essentials Report (70-58)

One of my students recently passed the Networking Essentials exam, which is now adaptive.  Here is his brief report...

I had an adaptive exam and, if any of your students ask, I’d wait until they’re done covering NT Admin & Core before taking this test. There were a few questions which would throw anyone who wasn’t familiar with NT. Plus, there were a lot of quesitons about protocols and bridges/routers/brouters/gateways. I didn’t see a single question about IRQ assignments or IRQ conflicts, and there weren’t any questions in regard to resistance measurements for cable/terminators. I had only two "typical" scenario questions and two "drag and drop" exhibit questions. (One was about segmenting a network and reducing traffic for a particular server and the second covered the components necessary to connect a workstation to a 10Base2 network.) Oh yeah, there were maybe two OSI questions.
