Marcy's Feedback on the new NT Server exam (70-67)
Marcy just took this exam in May of 1999. Here is her "contribution."
The Windows NT 4.0 Server exam is half traditional, half adaptive, so you will get 25-35 questions. Some of the things I remember:
What is the minimum required for a stripe set with parity (how many physical disks & how many controllers)?
ARC path question about how to edit Boot.ini when the first disk in a mirror set fails.
One or two questions on User Manager for Domains
Question on Directory Replication (where to place export scripts & where to set up the export replication).
One on two things you had to do to set up a profile for all users; this was a little bit confusing, because you had to check two answers on how to set it up, two answers were on where to place the files, one was the path to place the files and the other was the NETLOGON share. I think the path might have been wrong, Im not sure on that one.
One question on frame types. You have one network adapter card and need to use both 802.2 and 802.3 frame types. Do you:
Auto detect?
Add the driver for the adapter card twice and configure each instance separately?
Two other choices I dont remember
(Dave's answer: The choice needs to say configure (manually) different frame type for each separate network.)
Two questions on what you will need in specific circumstances, NWLINK, GSNW, CSNW, FPNW, etc.
Question about either copying or moving files from NTFS to FAT partition and what is retained, LFN's, permissions, and/or compression.
Question about what to do when documents are stuck in a print spooler
Lots on fault tolerance
One question on backups
Thats all I remember
